NHCA's Academic Pathway
Founded in 2024, New Hampshire Career Academy has been a years-long effort by many dedicated individuals across the state looking to challenge how we view education.
Originally, Career Academy was an extra educational opportunity offered by the Department of Education. In 2022, the decision was made to transfer the initiative from a program of the state to a public chartered school in order to expand the program and offer more degree programs/industry credentials to New Hampshire students.
New Hampshire Career Academy was approved as a chartered public school by the State Board of Education on September 16, 2024. The institution was formally recognized by the Secretary of State’s office on October 14, 2024, and held their first public board meeting on November 25, 2024.
We are a proud partner of the Community College System of New Hampshire and have an expansion plan to soon be available at every community college campus in the state.
Admission and Tuition
New Hampshire Career Academy is a public charter school and is free to attend to NH residents. Through educational adequacy funding from the state, in addition to contributions from generous donors, corporations, and foundations, we are able to cover our operating costs and all tuition costs for our students.

The Importance of Dual Degree Programs

High school should prepare students for what’s next, but too many are left unprepared for the demands of college or the workforce. That’s where New Hampshire Career Academy steps in, giving students the chance to graduate with a high school diploma and an Associate Degree or vocational certificate—completely free of cost.

Research backs it up: Dual-enrollment programs help students succeed. Studies show they:

-
Save Time: Students earn college credits while finishing high school, getting a head start on their future.
-
Perform Better: Dual-enrollment students go on to earn higher college GPAs.
-
Achieve More: These programs boost college completion rates and give students a stronger start.
With the growing need for skilled workers in technical fields and rising education costs, NHCA removes barriers and opens doors. By combining education and opportunity, we’re helping students build brighter futures—for themselves and their communities.
